Ben ‘Grizzly’ Winslade Ben is a tall opening quick bowler from Northern Districts.   Just prior to the end of the season in New Zealand he proudly made his debut for his state side. Played for the Hamilton team who won the Hawke Cup, which is New Zealand’s representative competition. He was born in Chigwell (Essex) when his parents were over here working [ed’s note – obviously not working that hard!]. Took five wickets on his debut for the club and also scored his maiden century in the Sunday league. ‘Grizzly’ is a real fan of the open air and is particularly keen on spending nights in Sherwood Forest. Alongside fellow musician Billy Lippeatt, Ben can also play the spoons with his head - or is that, his head can be used to play the spoons?
