Paul Hughes Paul is Thoresby's resident South African, explaining why he can be occasionally heard coughing up phlegm and making guttural noises from the bottom of his throat which apparently constitutes a written language (Afrikaan). The aggressive right hand batsman and wicketkeeper has made a fine start to his Thoresby career including a dazzling hundred against Caythorpe. Obviously a fan of English soap operas, since he arrived in England Paul's life has often resembled one. At first it seemed no one was safe from the veritable Casanova. After his first week of work, Paul was already running out of female employees to 'liaise' with in the smoke room, and thus chose to bide his time with a little bare knuckle boxing with the men. Who knows what dramas next week will bring? Paul is also now very familiar with the English coinage,
