Rob Walker

Current second eleven skipper and new father to baby Kieran, Rob joined the club for a then club record of half a mild. Captain of numerous teams over the years, Rob is a tactical genius; testimony to this was when, with the scores level and one ball remaining and 4 wickets, he managed to get the bowler to run the batsman out backing up and get the umpire to call over. This gained seven points from a ball that was never actually bowled!!!
If you were looking for a comparison to Rob’s batting style it would have to be Derrick Randall, as he is the only person seen to fidget more at the crease.
Part time bowler with his mixture of wobblers and induckers, Rob is always keen to have a go. In fact he has been known to go a very long way.
Great bloke to have on tour with many stories to be told, some of which include: Miss Marple,The Polar Bear, The two inch eye incident and Crazy Golf Match Fixing Scandal.
Previously an International singing star in the now defunct band The Walker Brothers, although now he only sings occasionally at club karaoke nights when Neil Diamond isn’t using his voice.
